Concrete and Siding Cleaning in Mosinee

Mosinee started out as Little Bull Falls, a lumber settlement on the Wisconsin River, and took its present name in 1857. When the lumber industry collapsed, the paper industry replaced it. Today it is a small city about 27 miles northeast of our Marshfield shop, with the Central Wisconsin Airport southeast of downtown.

A river city, with water to match

Water is a real share of the map here: roughly a tenth of the city's area is river.

A weather station about 4 miles from town records about 34 inches of rain and melted snow a year, with about 69 days that bring a tenth of an inch or more, and about 54 inches of snow. That is a lot of wet days for a shaded wall or a north-facing roof to dry out from.

Driveways, patios and walks

Most Mosinee homes are houses on their own lots, about seven in ten, and about four in ten were built before 1960.

Concrete is where power washing earns its name. It is built for tough surfaces: concrete, brick, stone and asphalt, plus driveways, patios, sidewalks and curbs. For the big flat areas we use a pressure washing surface cleaner for an even finish.

What concrete cleaning will not do is fix damage. Flaking or peeling on the surface of a slab is called scaling, and too much de-icing salt is one of the things that causes it. A clean slab makes it easy to see where that is happening.

Siding and gutters

The house itself gets a gentle house wash with biodegradable solutions. Gutters get a full flush, downspouts included, so the water off the roof has somewhere to go, and windows can be added to the same visit.
