Window Cleaning and House Washing in Spencer
Outside Marshfield itself, Spencer is the closest town we serve, about 9 miles northwest of our shop along Highway 13. Founded in 1874 at a branch of the Wisconsin Central Railway, the village has a marsh on either side: Spencer Marsh off to its northwest and McMillan Marsh off to its southeast.
Spencer homes
Spencer is a settled village. About three in four of its homes are single-family houses, about the same share are lived in by their owners, and fewer than one in ten went up in 2000 or later. Half were built before about 1972.
Why windows spot, and how we fix it
Over time, dirt, hard water stains, pollen and grime build up on glass. That cuts the natural light coming in, and mineral buildup left in place can etch the glass.
Here is how a window cleaning job runs:
- Inspection first. We check for hard water stains, dirt buildup and screen obstructions.
- Exterior glass. Cleaned with a purified water-fed pole system or by hand, removing dirt, grime and water spots without streaks.
- Interior glass, if you want it. Hand-cleaned with eco-friendly solutions.
- Frames and tracks. Wiped down to remove dust and debris.
- A final check on every window.
Screen cleaning, hard water stain removal and track detailing can be added. We offer one-time cleanings and scheduled maintenance plans.
The rest of the outside
Windows look best on a clean house, and our house washing is a gentle, low-pressure wash. Gutters get a full flush with after pictures, and driveways and sidewalks get power washed.
Spencer weather
The Marshfield Experimental Farm weather station, about 11 miles away, averages about 57 inches of snow a year and about 166 nights below freezing. A long winter is a good argument for a spring wash, inside the frames as well as on the glass.
