Why Newer Weston Homes Need a Wash Too
Weston is one of the younger communities we serve. The village was founded on March 11, 1996, when two-thirds of the original Town of Weston split off to form it, and its houses are young too.
A newer housing stock
Weston ties with Plover for the newest homes of any town on our list: half were built before about 1993. About a third went up in 2000 or later, and fewer than 1 percent date from 1939 or earlier.
Does a newer house really need washing?
Age has little to do with it. What matters is moisture, shade and time. Mildew is most common on walls behind trees and shrubs, and a brand-new wall behind a row of shrubs is still a wall behind a row of shrubs.
Weston's weather does the rest: about 64 inches of snow a year and about 163 nights below freezing, going by the weather station under 5 miles away. A house built in 2005 has already been through more than twenty of those winters, and our house washing takes off what they leave behind.
Decks, fences and driveways
Our deck and fence cleaning works on wood and composite both. We inspect first, use gentle soft washing techniques so the surface is not damaged, and can apply a sealant afterward if you ask for it. Wooden decks and fences normally take slightly longer than composite.
A clean deck is also a safer one: taking off slippery mildew and algae makes the boards and steps better to walk on. Driveways and sidewalks get our power washing, which is made for concrete.
Getting started
Send a request with the form below and tell us which parts of the outside you want priced: siding, windows, gutters, the deck or the driveway. One visit can cover several, and windows can be cleaned inside as well as out if you want them done.
